This critical infrastructure project forms part of a larger refurbishment effort maintaining the safety and longevity of the elevated A40, which spans from the Wood Lane Flyover to the west side of the Marylebone Flyover.

M5 J11 Golden Valley Interchange refurbishment scheme, Gloucestershire
Aquaforce Concrete Services was engaged to provide hydro demolition services to the project to facilitate the concrete repairs, bearing replacement works and bulk removal of the ballast and wing walls and stringcourses, totaling approx. 200m3 of reinforced concrete removal.

Aquaforce was appointed by Skanska on behalf of WCA to remove between 700 and 1000mm of the 700mm deep reinforced concrete cantilever deck ends using hydrodemolition, in order to expose the existing steel reinforcement of the three parallel viaducts.
